Under the Kazakhstan Government Scholarship program, successful applicants will receive full coverage of tuition fees and a monthly allowance, which is contingent upon their academic progress. This scholarship program is proudly sponsored by the Kazakhstan Government and administered by the Republic of Kazakhstan University.

The Republic of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education follows a rigorous selection process to ensure the most deserving applicants are chosen for the scholarship program. The commission responsible for applicant selection evaluates submitted documents and conducts online testing to assess adaptive potential. Furthermore, online interviews are conducted to thoroughly evaluate the candidates.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for the Republic of Kazakhstan Scholarship Program for International Students, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a foreign citizen, including Kazakh nationals who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- For Bachelor’s Degree: Hold a secondary education completion certificate with a minimum assessment of ‘good’
- For Master’s Degree: Possess a bachelor’s or specialist diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) or its equivalent from an accredited educational institution
- For PhD Degree: Hold a master’s diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) or its equivalent from an accredited educational institution
- Have an international certificate demonstrating proficiency in a foreign language
Application Process:
To apply for the Republic of Kazakhstan Scholarship Program for International Students, interested and eligible candidates should submit their applications online through the web portal of the National Center for the Development of Higher Education. The application process involves the following steps:
- Submission of documents through the Operator’s website
- Verification of documents by the Operator. If the requirements are met, the applicant will receive a link for online testing via email.
- Online testing to identify adaptive potential. Those who pass the online testing successfully will receive an invitation letter for an interview.
- Online interviews with representatives from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Operator, and universities.
- Announcement of the competition results for the Scholarship Program before August 28 of the current year
Application Deadline:
The application deadline for the Republic of Kazakhstan Scholarship Program for International Students is June 30, 2023.
