DETAILS:

The scholarship offers various advantages, primarily covering the complete tuition fees, including registration costs, examination fees, orientation expenses, and laboratory charges. In the subsequent year of study (N + 1 year), the duration for each program is as follows:

  • Undergraduate program: 4 years for the undergraduate program and an additional year for Indonesian language classes.
  • Master’s program: 2 years for the master’s program and an additional year for Indonesian language classes.
  • Doctorate program: 3 years for the doctorate program and an additional year for Indonesian language classes.

Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be considered eligible for the Asian and African Students Scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. For Bachelor’s program, applicants must be no older than 23 years of age on August 15, 2023.
  2. For Master’s and Doctorate programs, applicants must be no older than 35 years of age on August 15, 2023.
  3. Applicants must hold citizenship in an Asian or African country (excluding other continents as per specific guidelines).
  4. Applicants must be able to provide a health certificate issued by doctors or hospitals registered in their respective countries.
  5. Applicants must not hold citizenship in Indonesia, possess permanent residency in Indonesia, or be in the process of applying for a visa for permanent residence in Indonesia.
  6. Applicants must not be engaged in permanent or temporary employment in Indonesia while pursuing their studies.
  7. It is expected that upon completion of the scholarship programs, recipients will return to their home countries.

Application Procedures:

To apply for the Asian and African Students Scholarship, applicants are required to follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Complete the registration form available on the UMM website, which includes the scholarship application form.
  2. Provide a Character and Penal Clearance certificate obtained from the local police in their home country. This certificate should demonstrate a clear criminal record, such as a court clearance certificate.
  3. Submit recent passport size photos.
  4. Include copies of academic documents that showcase your academic qualifications and other supporting materials. Ensure that these documents are translated into English and are officially legalized. Examples of such documents include academic certificates, academic transcripts, recommendation letters, and any other relevant documents.
  5. Write and submit a motivation letter that highlights your reasons for applying to the scholarship program.
  6. Obtain a recommendation letter from a suitable referee who can vouch for your academic abilities and potential.
  7. Provide a copy of your birth certificate and Passport.
  8. Undergo the security vetting process as required.
